On April 20, 2017 the Planning Commission approved a site plan and conditional use permit for a self storage facility with outdoor storage. The applicant has notified the City that they did not close on the property and will not be moving forward with the project.
Site plan approvals are valid for one year following the date of approval. The applicant did not request an extension; therefore, the site plan approval expired on April 20, 2018. There is no formal action required for the site plan approval.
Conditional use permits are also valid for one year from the date of approval. The permit may be revoked by the issuing body if the applicant has not commenced work within one year of approval. The applicant has not commenced any work in support of the conditional use permit.
In Planning Case 17-7, the Planning Commission move to revoke the conditional use permit for a self storage facility with outdoor storage based on the finding that the applicant has not commenced work upon the subject property within one year.
