INTRODUCTION
City staff requests that delinquent utility bills certified to Anoka County for collection with 2020 property taxes.
DISCUSSION
According to the City Code, delinquent utility bills should be certified to Anoka County for collection with real estate taxes.  Users have been notified by mail that payments should be made to avoid certification.
 
The amount to be certified to Anoka County is as follows:
   
UTILITY COST:  $950,476
ADMIN. FEE ($35 PER PARCEL):  $85,050
TOTAL:  $1,035,526*
   

Provision has been made to accept the utility amount without interest through 4:30 p.m. November 8, 2019.  Last year at this time the deliquent utility cost total was $1,191,020.
