Consider Resolution 18-122 Approving 2019 Compensation Plan for Unrepresented Employees

This resolution is being presented in compliance with City Code Section 3-301 which requires the annual presentation of a compensation plan to the City Council. City Staff requests that the City Council adopt a resolution establishing the 2019 Compensation Plan for unrepresented employees.
The City’s 2019 Compensation Plan includes the following:
A 2019 wage schedule for full-time and regular part-time employees with 24 pay grades and nine steps within each grade. Each salary range minimum is approximately 75 percent of its range maximum.
A wage schedule for variable hour, part-time positions. This scale will provide for consistency across the organization for variable hour, part-time positions.
The 2019 wage schedule for unrepresented positions includes a 2.75% wage increase. The wage increase mirrors the tenative agreements for Public Works and Fire.
