INTRODUCTION
Staff is seeking acceptance of plans and specifications, and authorization to bid the 2019 Well Rehabilitation project.
DISCUSSION
At its regular meeting held August 21, 2018, City Council approved a proposal to continue a regular rotation for rehabilitation of the City's 24 wells and nine booster pumps. The 2019 program will focus on Well Nos. 1, 2 and 16, and Booster Pump Nos. 2 & 3 located at the East Water Treatment Plant. At the August meeting Council approved a consultant proposal with Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. (SEH) to provide professional engineering design, bidding and construction administration, and inspection services for the project. Council is now being asked to accept plans and specifications for 2019 Well Rehabilitation program, and authorize solicitation of bids.

Demolition and piping prep work on booster pump #2 occurred under Contract B of the 2018 program. The pump will now be replaced with a new pump as part of the 2019 project.

Plans and specifications are available for review in the City Engineer's office.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 19-7(8) accepting plans and specifications for 2019 Well Rehabilitation, and authorize the solicitation of bids.

BUDGET IMPACT:
The Water Fund (601) contains $385,000 for the 2019 well rehab program, and these funds are anticipated to cover all associated costs.
